Loved One
Indians Best Friends
Kayla absolutely loved doing this unit! She was very proud of her hard work.
As part of thier assignments they had to write and illustrate a legend.
The Legend of the Magic Flower
Every day was burning hot. There were lots of animals and plants, but there was one flower that could heal the worst diseases. It was the last one of its kind until the seed fell.
It grew in a forest so the tribe had to travel a long way to find the forest. They wanted the flower because they knew it was pretty. It was pink, blue and purple. Everywhere in the forest you could smell its scent. The people lived in the plains. There were lots of food for them to eat but the people were unhappy.
Everybody was happy until the diseases came. Some people were killed and others lived. Whoever got it was sure to die. Nobody knew the cure. There was a princess named Star Lilly. Star Lilly wished she did too.
Everybody who got it forgot everything they ever knew. The people who lived were sad too because the princess had got it. They tried to make her remember the things she had learned. There was one hope. She loved flowers; if there was one thing she knew it was flowers. They figured it out and went to find it.It was a magical flower that grew in the forest. The tribe started that day. It was 3,000 miles away. It was very hard to find. They started packing up all their stuff to find the flower. The tribe had to pack a bunch of food. The found many flowers on the way but they did not grow in the forest.
Finally they reached the forest that smelled of cinnamon sticks. The tribe knew they were close to the flower. The next day the found the flower and healed the sick. Then started to go home. They loved the flower so much they each took a seed.
The day after that Star Lilly was better. Then the seeds disappeared. No one knows what happened to the seeds ever since.
Well done
LOVED ONE!!!
